Christmas Lights
At the beginning of every Saturday in November, my sweet husband would say, "Hey, it looks like a nice day outside. I should get up on the roof today and put up the Christmas lights." I would agree, then we'd both do other things, and the end of the day would come with no Christmas lights. Then, the nice weather followed us into December, and still, good intentions never turned into productive action. So, now the snow has finally arrived, it is no longer safe to go out onto the roof, and all we have to show for the great weather we had through November, and half of December, is one lonely strand of blue lights wound around the post of our porch, the only purpose of which is to get power up to the roof for the icicle lights that are still inside the house. Someone called Ray a Scrooge for his little blue lights; they obviously didn't know him when he worked RETAIL!
